Feodis vs. Kikoff: An Honest Comparison

Comparing two credit-building plans side by side

Kikoff is the closest thing to a direct competitor Feodis has. Same structure — a flat monthly fee for a reported revolving account, no credit check, no deposit — so it is a fair comparison rather than an apples-to-oranges one. Prices below were checked against Kikoff's own pricing page the week this was published; re-check before relying on them if you are reading this much later.

Price and Reported Limit

| Tier | Feodis | Kikoff | |---|---|---| | Entry | $7.99/mo → $1,000 | $5/mo → $750 | | Middle | $14.99/mo → $2,500 | $20/mo → $2,500 | | Top | $24.99/mo → $5,000 | $35/mo → $3,500 |

We are not going to pretend we win everywhere. At the entry tier, Kikoff is cheaper in absolute terms and per reported dollar — $5 for $750 beats $7.99 for $1,000 on both counts. If the lowest possible price is what matters most to you, that is the honest answer.

At $2,500, Feodis is 25% cheaper for the identical limit. At $5,000, Feodis is the better deal by a wide margin: $24.99 for $5,000 works out to $5.00 per $1,000 reported, against Kikoff's top tier at $10.00 per $1,000 for a smaller $3,500 limit. That is roughly half the cost for more than 40% more limit.

What's Different About the Account Itself

Kikoff's tradeline is spend-restricted — its own terms describe it as "designed exclusively for building credit" and it can't be spent outside Kikoff's own store. Feodis's account isn't tied to a purchase at all: it's an account opened in your name at a stated limit, with the monthly membership payment itself being the activity that gets reported. Neither is a real credit line you can borrow against; both are mechanisms for creating a reported payment history without one.

Guarantee

Kikoff advertises a 45-day money-back window, with its own terms clarifying that what comes back is not a refund on a completed plan — "it is not a credit builder loan." Feodis's guarantee is narrower and more literal: a full refund if you cancel within 3 days of your first payment before it's furnished, or if we fail to furnish it within 60 days for a reason on our side. Read both terms yourself rather than taking either company's marketing summary of its own guarantee — that includes this one.

Annual Billing

Feodis offers 12 months for the price of 10 on every tier, which brings the entry tier close to level with Kikoff's rate ($6.66/mo effective vs. Kikoff's $6.67 per $1,000) at the cost of paying $79.90 up front. Kikoff currently offers no annual option at any tier.

Credit Check

Neither requires one. No hard pull, no minimum score, at either company.

The Honest Summary

If $5/month is the number that matters most, Kikoff's entry tier beats ours. If you want a $2,500 or $5,000 reported limit, Feodis costs meaningfully less for the same or more. Neither company can tell you what a reported account will do to your score — and you should be skeptical of any credit-building product that claims otherwise without showing you the fine print behind the number.
